Creativity, Collaboration, & Community: Artist Trading Cards Coming In!

It’s been about two weeks since members of the Art Therapy Alliance’s Materials and Media in Art Therapy subgroup on LinkedIn received the details and mailing info for our first Artist Trading Card (ATC) exchange. With daily excitement and anticipation, we’ve been receiving ATCs in our snail mail from the over 50 community members across the US and Canada who signed up to contribute to this fun project! It’s great to see how everyone is responding to the swap’s theme Art Therapy: Helping Others, Communities, and the World.

Some Alliance ATC swappers are also posting their mini art works for previewing on their blogs before mailing it off to be exchanged. Check out these blogs below for more:

if you are interested in seeing all the ATCs coming in for this project, you can view them via the Art Therapy Alliance’s Facebook Page and the photo album created for this collaboration. Don’t forget, look for a special showcase here when the exchange is over in a couple of weeks!

And finally, there’s also been a lot of interest and inquires about how to participate in this exchange or future exchanges. It’s great to see such interest and energy around coming together to make art! This swap is now closed, but art therapists, art therapy students, and other interested professionals can stay connected to future project collaborations/announcements via our Materials & Media in Art Therapy group on LinkedIn.
