Art Therapy Alliance Favicard on the Go with Kathy Masone, ATR-BC, LCAT in New York

Another Art Therapy Alliance Favicard On the Go photo recently arrived in our inbox from New York sent by Kathy Masone ATR-BC, LCAT.  Kathy is is a Licensed, Board Certified and Registered Art Therapist  who received her master’s from Hofstra University. In Kathy’s career she developed an art therapy program at Pilgrim State, an inpatient psych center and her more recent work has been with  adults challenged by developmental and cognitive disabilities. In Kathy’s private practice she uses art and and the creative process with children and women to help them develop autonomy and learn to express themselves visually.  Kathy also uses drumming and hypnotherapy in her work. 


Kathy’s photo was taken at the Vietnam Memorial, a 100 ft high obelisk monument, on Bald Hill in Farmingville NY, considered one of the highest points on Long Island.

Kathy accesses the Art Therapy Alliance through Facebook and LinkedIn to stay connected with the art therapy community. She has also participated in the community’s online art exchanges and most recently joined in the Art Therapy Alliance’s 6 Degrees of Creativity.
