Thanks to Heather Nelson in NE Ohio for contributing to the Art Therapy Alliance’s Favicard on the Go Project! Heather is currently working as a production artist for a communications company, but she is hoping to return to college this summer and pursue a masters degree in art therapy. Heather is mostly interested in using art with mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety. Her hope is to one day be an advocate for mental health awareness and to utilize her own art to help fight stigma.
Heather accesses the Art Therapy Alliance mainly through Facebook. She loves being able to receive the lastest news and articles about art therapy in one place like Facebook…and it makes it easier for her to share posts with friends and family.
Heather would love to hear from any practicing art therapists about advice and tips in preparation for her graduate studies! And if there are any graduate students at Ursuline college (present or future) please send her a message! She would love to hear from you!
