Happy Holidays to the Art Therapy Alliance Community!

Happy Holidays | Art Therapy Alliance BlogAnd a Happy New Year of course…! Here are some project highlights from 2013:

Art Therapy 30 Day ChallengeArt Therapy 30 Day Challenge: Every day during the month of April this year, there was an Art Therapy Challenge prompt posted on Facebook and Pinterest. Participants were invited to share responses with the Art Therapy Alliance community on these sites, as well as responded through blogging. Challenge responses through social media were lots of fun to read, as well as offered great resources, inspiration, and connection about art therapy.

Art Therapy Scavenger Hunt | Art Therapy AllianceArt Therapy Scavenger Hunt Art Challenge: This fall, the Art Therapy Alliance, Southwestern College, and The New Mexico Art Therapy Association co-hosted a virtual scavenger hunt that prompted participants to use found objects and art to create a 2-D or 3-D character that represented art therapy, an inspiring art therapist, or a representation of the future of art therapy. Viewers then voted via social media on their favorite top three. Winners of this year’s scavenger hunt were Andrea Davis, Margaret Wheeler, and Dawn Truby:
